Assistant Store Manager – Customer Experience
The Assistant Store Manager will support the Store Manager in sales, customer service, store appearance, and operations. The role manages the store during the Manager’s absence or opposing shifts, leading the team in servicing customers. Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply.
Essential Job Functions- Lead the store team members in providing excellent customer service to retail and professional customers.
- Supervise customer service levels on the retail showroom, including execution of customer service programs (Related sales, Hi5, Rock the Call, Never Say No, Rock the Lot, etc.).
- Assist the store manager in ensuring adequate staffing of the retail sales counter, especially during peak hours.
- Help set team member goals, provide feedback, coach/mentor, and keep training current.
- Assist in the hiring process: complete recruiting tasks, schedule and participate in interviews, evaluate candidates, and collaborate with management to select qualified team members.
- Ensure the telephone is answered per company policy.
- Process buy online/ship to store, hub and store to store transfers, and DC add orders in a timely manner, notifying customers upon shipment arrival.
- Use electronic outside purchase order ledger for special orders and outside purchases per procedure.
- Process retail returns and exchanges efficiently and accurately, issue refunds correctly, and stage returned merchandise properly.
- Invoice all merchandise, including core charges and warranties, before product leaves the store.
- Communicate Zipline messages; delegate and complete Image Maker and merchandising tasks as assigned.
- Ensure team members comply with company policies, posted work schedule, approvals for deviations, and proper clocking in/out.
- Perform opening/closing duties: day‑end procedures, secure money/deposits, prepare bank deposits, secure building, arm/disarm alarms, check delivery vehicle security.
- Assist in maintaining store building, parking lot, exterior signage/lighting, computer hardware, in‑store service/test equipment, and delivery vehicles.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.
- Sales Specialist Training, Assistant Manager Certification, and RSS Certification.
- Certified Parts Professional Certification; ASE Certification.
- Fluency in multiple languages (Spanish highly desired).
