Willow River Company is looking for a dependable, hard-working Seal coating Technician to join our growing team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating seal coating equipment, surface preparation, crack sealing, and applying protective coatings to asphalt surfaces for residential and commercial properties. We take pride in delivering top-tier property care and expect a strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality workmanship.
Key Responsibilities- Surface Preparation:
Clean and clear asphalt surfaces using blowers, brooms, and pressure washers; remove debris, weeds, and oil spots prior to application. - Crack Sealing:
Route and fill asphalt cracks using hot-pour or cold-pour crack sealant materials to prevent water infiltration and further damage. - Material Application:
Operate seal coating equipment—including hand squeegees, brush applications, and spray rigs—to apply professional-grade asphalt sealers evenly and efficiently. - Line Striping & Layout:
Assist with layout work and parking lot striping, stenciling, and ADA markings as needed. - Equipment Maintenance:
Perform routine daily inspections, cleaning, and maintenance on trucks, tanks, spray systems, and hand tools. - Job Site Safety:
Follow all safety protocols, set up proper traffic control/barricades, and maintain a clean, organized job site.
- Experience:
Previous experience in asphalt maintenance, seal coating, or general construction/landscaping labor is preferred, but we are willing to train the right motivated candidate. - Driver's License:
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; ability to drive company trucks and tow utility trailers is a strong plus. - Physical Stamina:
Ability to perform heavy physical labor outdoors in various weather conditions, including standing, bending, kneeling, and lifting up to 50 lbs consistently. - Work Ethic:
Punctual, reliable, safety-conscious, and capable of working effectively both independently and as part of a crew.
