Assess the needs and suitability of individuals entering the treatment court program. Coordinate social services, crisis intervention services, and treatments for participating families. Provide weekly written reporting on client progress, concerns, and achievements. Provide support and advocacy for families throughout their involvement in the Court Program with various social systems, including child welfare, criminal, federal agencies, etc. Assist with facilitating multidisciplinary team staffing—including treatment providers, counselors, child welfare workers, and attorneys—to collaborate on and coordinate service delivery to meet the needs of each family.
Coordinate daily with child welfare caseworkers and other service providers involved in assigned cases. Testify in statutory court hearings for assigned cases on the program and compliance of participants and the efforts made to achieve family reunification. Collect data required for evaluation and reporting requirements. Maintain up-to-date client records, including electronic entry of drug tests and filing documentation of client progress.
Report to Early Childhood Court Program Manager regarding participant compliance with program requirements and treatment plans. Maintain appropriate working relationships with child welfare workers, attorneys, community partners, judicial officials, and court staff. Utilize proficient conflict‑management skills, resolve issues in stressful situations, and maintain a therapeutic approach. Perform related duties as required.

- Perform related duties as required
- Bachelor’s Degree in Social Services, Behavioral Science, or a closely related field, with five (5) years of experience working with drug treatment cases, addiction or child abuse services, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Good knowledge of child welfare legal cases and child abuse and neglect laws
- Knowledge of theories and approaches related to child development, family dynamics, substance abuse treatment and recovery
- Skilled in communicating effectively with hostile, abusive or irrational individuals
- Skilled in managing multiple projects simultaneously
- Valid driver’s license, motor vehicle liability insurance, personal injury insurance, and a personal vehicle (required for travel)
- Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
- Ability to adjust to rapidly fluctuating situations and react professionally and safely under potential or actual volatile conditions
- Proficiency in Excel and Word; ability to develop and maintain spreadsheets to track client and provider information
