Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Ability to follow lesson plans w/ individual or small groups.
Ability to provide behavior supports calmly and effectively.
Ability to problem solve and adapt quickly in a changing environment.
Work under the supervision of the certified staff.
Assist in presentation of lessons.
Provide support and accommodations in classrooms
Ability to manage multiple transitions of students and materials between classrooms on a daily basis.
Help prepare rooms and materials for daily activities.
Assist in the maintenance of equipment and materials used in the classroom.
Assist with keeping records and files.
Accompany teacher and/or students on field trips.
Physical strength and stamina – some lifting, bending, etc. required
Teamwork
Regular attendance is an essential function of the job.

Preference given for the following attributes

Carpentry experience or work in a trades related field
Working knowledge of tools/equipment
