Substitute Food Service Worker

SUBSTITUTE FOOD SERVICE WORKER

Be able work in either district of Jenison or Hudsonville Public Schools as our department covers both district’s food service operations.

Substitutes work on an on-call, as needed basis with no guarantee of hours. Substitutes need to be available to work at least 3 of the 5 days in a week, Monday – Friday.

Substitutes are notified between 7:30am - 9:00am if they are needed to work that day.

The pay rate for substitutes is $15.50/hour.

Substitutes work between 2.5 and 4 hours per day. Shifts fall between 9:30am - 2:00pm and hours may vary depending on location and shift.

• Prepare and serve nutritious and attractive meals.
• Assist with meal production as directed.
• Maintain and apply all safety, sanitation and cleanliness standards and practices in all food service areas as required by federal, state, local and district regulations and policies.
• Operate production equipment and dishwashing equipment.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. with or without accommodations.
• Cash handling.
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
