IATF Quality Engineer | Hudsonville, MI
Salary Range: $81,000 - $116,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity
We collaborate with manufacturing companies in the Hudsonville region seeking IATF Quality Engineers. These employers partner with us because they want real insight into candidates-not just resumes. By joining our network, you gain access to roles worth considering.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement IATF 16949 compliant quality management system processes.
- Conduct internal audits and manage external IATF certification audits.
- Lead problem-solving activities using core tools (8D, FMEA, APQP, PPAP, MSA, SPC).
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and process efficiency.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on new product development and launch activities.
- Analyze quality data and metrics to identify trends and implement corrective actions.
- Ensure supplier quality aligns with IATF 16949 requirements and company standards.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or a related technical field.
- 3+ years of experience in quality engineering within a manufacturing environment.
- Proven expertise in IATF 16949 standards and their practical application.
- Strong knowledge of core quality tools (APQP, PPAP, FMEA, SPC, MSA).
- Demonstrated ability to conduct internal audits and drive corrective actions.
- Experience with AIAG core tools (APQP, PPAP, FMEA, MSA, SPC) beyond basic application
- Certified Lead Auditor for IATF 16949 or other relevant quality management systems
- Experience implementing or maintaining a Manufacturing Execution System (MES)
- Familiarity with advanced statistical analysis software (e.g., Minitab, JMP) for process optimization
- Demonstrated ability to mentor and train junior quality personnel
