Job Opportunity

Exciting news! We’re looking for a Welding Fabricator I to join our Weld Department. Working Schedule

6:00AM-4:30PM Monday-Thursday with up to 75% Friday OT required.

Summary

Assists the department with welding and fabricating steel structural frames and sheet metal frames for environmental test chambers.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Grinds, cuts, and copes steel.
  • Fabricates steel.
  • Builds sheet metal frames, steel frames, and solid floor systems.
  • Assists with job set up.
  • Performs TIG and MIG welding.
  • Welds aluminum ramps and grating to stainless steel.
  • Deciphers build sequence.
  • Reads and interprets blueprints.
  • Daily use of hand and power tools.
  • Cleans work area, machines, tools, and equipment.
  • Regular physical attendance is required.
  • Performs other routine duties as assigned.
Qualifications

Education
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
  • Welding certificate required.
Skills and Experience
  • 5 years of MIG and TIG welding experience required.
  • Ability to read a tape measure required.
  • Ability to read and interpret prints required.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide required.
  • Basic computer skills preferred.
