Salary Range: $57,000 - $84,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

Key Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive first article inspections of manufactured components, ensuring adherence to engineering specifications and customer requirements.
- Interpret and apply GD&T principles to accurately evaluate part geometry and critical dimensions using various metrology tools.
- Document inspection results thoroughly, including non-conformances, and generate detailed First Article Inspection Reports (FAIRs) in accordance with AS9102 standards.
- Collaborate with engineering, quality, and production teams to resolve discrepancies and implement corrective actions for non-conforming parts.
- Utilize precision measuring instruments, such as CMMs, calipers, micrometers, and optical comparators, to verify dimensional accuracy.
- Maintain and calibrate inspection equipment, ensuring accuracy and reliability of measurements.
- Provide feedback on design and manufacturing processes to improve product quality and manufacturability.
Recommended Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED; technical certification or Associate's degree preferred.
- 3+ years experience in quality inspection within a manufacturing environment.
- Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, technical drawings, and GD&T.
- Demonstrated ability to use a wide range of precision measuring tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers, height gages, CMM).
- Strong understanding of First Article Inspection (FAI) processes and AS9102 reporting requirements.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to identify non-conformances accurately.
