Job DescriptionAs the Logistics Coordinator, you will be responsible for coordinating the transportation of raw materials, finished goods, and packaging materials. You will plan and schedule shipments to meet production and customer demand, ensuring efficient and timely delivery within the supply chain.
This is a full-time, 1st shift position. The schedule is Monday through Friday from 8am to 4:30pm.
Responsibilities Shipment Coordination- Coordinate the transportation of raw materials, finished goods, and packaging materials.
- Plan and schedule shipments to meet production and customer demand.
- Develop and implement efficient logistics plans to optimize transportation routes and minimize costs.
- Work closely with carriers and freight forwarders to ensure timely deliveries.
- Collaborate with the inventory team to maintain accurate records of stock levels and storage locations.
- Coordinate the movement of goods between different locations within the facility.
- Prepare shipping documents, including bills of lading and customs paperwork.
- Ensure compliance with shipping regulations and customs requirements.
- Communicate with internal teams, suppliers, and transportation partners to provide shipment updates.
- Address and resolve any issues or delays in the transportation process.
- Generate regular reports on logistics and transportation performance.
- Provide insights and recommendations for process improvements.
All other duties as assigned
Qualifications- Previous experience in logistics coordination, preferably in the manufacturing or beverage industry.
- Knowledge of transportation regulations, customs procedures, and shipping documentation.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in logistics and inventory management software.
- Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field is preferred.
- Ability to work in an office environment and occasionally visit warehouse and transportation facilities.
