Pediatrics West Hueytown

Work schedule will be Full-time, Days, Monday – Friday, 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. and a Saturday rotation 8 a.m. – noon.

Key and submit claims to insurance companies. Process and apply all payments received to the patient’s accounts. Follow-up on outstanding claims.

• Checks encounter for accurate ICD/CPT codes before submitting them to the insurance company.
• Process all patient payments and insurance payments ensuring payment is placed on correct account. Verify what is keyed in the system matches what was received.
• Respond to all patient questions concerning their accounts.
• Assist physicians and staff with any coding questions as needed.
• Setting up newborns in the system and add their information to the medical record.
• Transmit insurance claims daily. Contact insurance company as needed.
• Ensure the Transmission log and Deposit Logs are kept up to date.
• Review aging report monthly working the outstanding claims to ensure payment.
• Assist front desk staff when needed.
• Performs other duties as required.

High School Diploma Graduate or Equivalent required. Associates Degree in Business or related preferred.

Three or more years of experience in healthcare insurance, billing and related.

M-F 8-5, Day Shift, Monday-Friday Standard Days
