Center Medical Specialist

We are seeking an EMT‑B, EMT‑A, Paramedic, or LPN/LVN for our Plasma Donation Center.

• Perform physical examinations and establish medical history to determine donor suitability.
• Build rapport with donors to ensure overall customer satisfaction.
• Ensure donor and staff confidentiality.
• Educate donors on potential hazards and general health, providing counseling for unacceptable test results.
• Evaluate and manage donor injuries and adverse events.
• Assess histories of illness or medications to ensure continued donor suitability.
• Assist in employee training and administer the employee Hepatitis Vaccine program.

• Educated and currently certified/licensed in the state of employment as a Registered Nurse, Licensed Practical Nurse, Licensed Vocational Nurse, Paramedic, or EMT.
• Current CPR certification required.
• Physical requirements:
  
  standing or sitting for 2–4 hours per day; bending and twisting of the neck for 1–2 hours per day; frequent hand movements; precise coordinated finger movements; occasional foot movement including squatting or crouching; light lifting up to 15 lbs with a maximum lift of 50 lbs; ability to work in temperatures below 32°F with appropriate PPE.
• Adequate vision: correctable to 20/30 in one eye and 20/100 in the other.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to convey information clearly and listen effectively.
• Ability to work independently and follow oral or written instructions.
• Experience working in a plasma center with exposure to biological fluids and potential infectious organisms.
• Comfortable with exposure to electrical equipment and laboratory environments.
