Registered Nurse - Adult Psychiatry - Multiple Shifts

Role Overview

This position involves providing direct patient care in a Behavioral Health setting for adult and geriatric patients with mental health needs. Responsibilities include conducting bio-psychosocial assessments, developing and implementing individualized nursing care plans, participating in treatment team conferences, and leading group therapy sessions. The role requires evaluating patient responses and adjusting care plans accordingly to support stabilization and recovery.

• Licensed Registered Nurse with active licensure from the Alabama Board of Nursing.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of hire, accepted from American Heart Association or Red Cross.
• Diploma from an accredited nursing program.
• Strong communication, assessment, and collaborative skills for effective team participation.

• Perform initial and ongoing assessments of patients.
• Develop and revise individualized care plans based on patient progress.
• Participate in multidisciplinary treatment planning and team meetings.
• Conduct and co-lead group therapy sessions.
• Evaluate and respond to patient progress, adjusting interventions as needed.
