Elementary Classroom & Childcare Assistant; Part-Time

Liberty Classical Academy is a Christ-centered, classical Preschool–12th grade private school with campuses in White Bear Lake and Hugo, Minnesota. We are seeking a warm, dependable, and flexible Elementary Classroom & Childcare Assistant to support both our Elementary Art program and Early Childhood program at the Hugo campus.

This part-time role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with young children in a hands‑on, faith‑based school environment and is looking for consistent daytime hours. This position supports elementary students during art, lunch, and recess, while also providing nurturing care for infants and toddlers in the afternoon.

• Assist the K–2 Art Teacher with classroom instruction, material preparation, and cleanup
• Help display and organize student artwork throughout the building
• Supervise elementary students during lunch and recess, supporting positive behavior and engagement
• Provide compassionate care and supervision for infants and toddlers
• Engage young children in age‑appropriate activities that support development
• Maintain clean, safe, and nurturing classroom environments
• Assist with preparation and execution of the annual school‑wide spring Art Show, including participation outside of normal work hours
• Uphold and model Christian values in daily interactions with students, families, and staff

• Experience working with children in a classroom, childcare, or art setting preferred (not required)
• Warm, patient, and dependable with a heart for serving children
• Comfortable working with a range of ages, from infants through elementary students
• Organized, flexible, and willing to support multiple areas of the school day
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Commitment to the mission and values of a Christ‑centered educational environment
• Willingness to complete required state childcare certifications

• Schedule: Monday–Friday, 10:00 AM–4:30 PM
• Job Type: Part‑time
• Pay Range: $16–$18 per hour, based on experience and qualifications
