Customer Account Manager - Marine

Meyer Distributing, a wholesale distributor with 85+ locations nationwide, is seeking a Customer Account Manager to join our team in the Minneapolis area.

The role focuses on inside sales, including inbound and outbound calls, processing sales documents, and ensuring customer satisfaction.

• Handles high volume phone calls, taking orders and closing sales.
• Sources new opportunities via inbound lead follow-up and outbound cold calls.
• Processes calls with accuracy, maintains digital notes, verifies orders before entry.
• Ensures accounts are serviced per company standards.
• Recognizes buying patterns and promotes new product lines.
• Maintains professional relations with customers and key accounts.
• Investigates and resolves customer issues.
• Meets or exceeds sales goals.
• Stays current on product knowledge and trends.
• Some travel may be required.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills; 90%+ time on phone.
• Ability to anticipate customer needs.
• Strong multi‑tasking, prioritization, and time‑management skills.
• High attention to detail.
• Planning and follow‑up capabilities.
• Extensive computer use; experience with Microsoft Windows.
• Excellent negotiating and problem‑solving skills.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Prior automotive parts knowledge and previous sales experience preferred.
