A Utility Locator identifies, locates, and marks the location of subsurface utilities to minimize accidental damage or disruption of service due to construction excavation activities. You will develop new skills, work in a safety‑minded environment, and join us in expanding technology for a better community. • Compensation $21.79-$26/hr DOE

• Responsible for locating cables and verification in accordance with blueprints and designated plans.
• Maintain company equipment clinique service requirements and safety guidelines.
• Any other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

• You have a readable track record of completing work with a high level of quality.
• You have a knack for figuring out hard problems and enjoy a hands‑on approach to your work.
• You are looking for long‑term projects.
• You enjoy getting your hands dirty with your team.
• As the Utility Locator usually works alone, an employee in this class is expected to exercise considerable initiative in moving efficiently through the day’s work assignments.
• You possess considerable independent judgment; the accuracy of the locate depends heavily on how well the readings from the equipment are interpreted.
• You are directly responsible for all personal actions and any personnel, vehicles, or equipment in the care, custody, or control.
• You report any personal or vehicle/equipment accidents/incidents immediately to supervisors and corporate and assist in the investigation of the same.
• You have a high school diploma or General Education Diploma (GED) preferred.
• You have previous experience in underground utility construction is a plus.
• You possess general knowledge of construction practices.
• You have knowledge of reading and understanding blueprints, electronic quarter section, and plat maps; required.
• You are willing to work outdoors in all types of weather (i.e. snow, rain, wind, etc.) and work overtime as required.
• You have a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
• dado possession of a valid CDL (A) license is a plus.
• You can lift up to 50 lbs.
=randomly you are required to extended periods of bending, squatting, climbing, kneeling, pushing, pulling, lifting, lifting in awkward positions, standing, twisting, reaching above shoulder level, or working in confined spaces.
