Electrical Technician
We are seeking a skilled Electrical Technician to play a vital role in our manufacturing process by wiring new truck chassis and troubleshooting and testing these prior to their release. The successful candidate will have a solid understanding of electrical schematics, blueprints, and electrical symbols, as well as point-to-point wiring and electrical flow. This position involves working on both new and used chassis as part of the shop manufacturing process following mechanical assembly.
Responsibilities- Perform all necessary routines related to electronic components.
- Ensure all equipment meets quality standards for electrical assembly.
- Verify the proper functioning of completed equipment.
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and related paperwork.
- Install and terminate all electrical components and connections.
- Fabricate and install conduit lines.
- Update paperwork to reflect any changes.
- Safely operate equipment such as Ironworker, Band Saw, Drill Presses, handheld drills, overhead cranes, and other required equipment.
- Operate forklift following safe operating procedures, including acquiring and maintaining a training certificate.
- Test-run completed equipment prior to shipment.
- Complete other duties as assigned.
- Minimum 6 months of electrical experience.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical blueprints and schematics.
- Proficiency in utilizing both basic and specialized tools.
Skills & Qualifications
- Experience with electrical troubleshooting and wiring.
- Understanding of electrical schematics, symbols, and DC voltage.
- Skills in point-to-point wiring and conduit installation.
- Knowledge in mechanical assembly, electronics, and test equipment.

WorkEnvironment
You will primarily work inside the shop, with occasional tasks outside. The work environment is clean and organized, offering flexible hours from 6:00 AM to 3:30 PM Monday through Thursday and 6:00 AM to 12:00 PM on Fridays, with mostly voluntary overtime. The shift schedule consists of working four 10-hour days and a half-day on Friday.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Permanent position based out of Hugo, MN.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
