Entry Level Field Service Technician
We are seeking a dedicated Traveling Service Technician to join our team, serving the Midwest market. In this role, you will be responsible for servicing and repairing a variety of meters, pumps, registers, and other petroleum equipment. You will be working with a company that is a leader in designing, manufacturing, and servicing storage, transport, and dispensing solutions for petroleum, propane, and other liquids and gases.
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot, rebuild, and calibrate meters and related items.
- Maintain required paperwork.
- Start up and service tanker truck terminal load rack equipment, ethanol skids, and other petroleum equipment.
- Install and repair grounding and overfill prevention systems.
- Conduct warranty work, inspections, and provide emergency service work.
- Test and operate equipment.
- Travel overnight on weekdays, with 90% of the time spent away from home (home on weekends).
Essential Skills
- 1+ year of proven and professional mechanical repair, troubleshooting, and analytical aptitude.
- Mechanical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Experience in field service, preventive maintenance, and installation.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Ability to read blueprints and schematics (Nice to Have).
- Basic understanding of hydraulic principles (Nice to Have).
- Experience working with hydraulics (Nice to Have).

Work Environment
The position involves working outdoors in various environments, including potentially dirty locations. Lodging is covered, along with a $55 per diem for food. A company vehicle is provided. Expect to travel within a four-state radius of Minnesota, with 90% travel required. However, there is flexibility to accommodate personal or family needs. Employees typically drive home on Fridays and return to work on Mondays.
Depending on Monday's job location, work may begin on Tuesday, with paid travel time on Monday.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Hugo, MN.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
