• Chair statutory Looked After Children Reviews in accordance with the Children Act 1989, Care Planning Regulations, and the IRO Handbook.
• Monitor care plans to ensure they remain appropriate, outcome-focused and responsive to the child’s changing needs.
• Ensure children and young people actively participate in reviews and that their views, wishes and feelings influence care planning.
• Provide constructive challenge and accelerate concerns where delay, drift or deficits in service provision adversely impact children.
• Promote effective permanence planning, safeguarding arrangements, and stability for children in care and care leavers.

• Degree in Social Work, DipSW, CQSW or recognised equivalent qualification.
• Current registration with Social Work England.
• Evidence of continued professional development relevant to children’s social care.
• Significant post-qualifying experience within Children’s Social Care.
• Previous experience working with looked after children, safeguarding, and care planning.
