Overview
Business Unit:
Cubic Transportation Systems. This role provides maintenance and repair of client equipment on Cubic maintained assets under the guidance of the Field Services Team Leader and supports the Maintenance Engineer. The job is a preventative maintenance position carried out during the 5‑day night shift (Sunday to Thursday). The purpose is to ensure Cubic equipment is returned to full service, maintained to the highest standard, and meets contractual SLA requirements.

Responsibilities- Carry out first and second line maintenance on any equipment as contracted to CTS at any time.
- Respond and repair Cubic devices in a timely manner and follow defined maintenance procedures to maximise device reliability and availability.
- Undertake the training and development programme provided to the best of your ability.
- Constantly improve performance through training, experience and KPI feedback.
- Minimise downtime on fault call outs.
- Assist with the installation or commissioning of equipment as required by CTS management.
- Ensure all relevant working practices comply with the statutory Health and Safety at Work Act and external customer requirements.
- Deliver and/or collect equipment modules from stores locations.
- Assist with stock control or fault control if deemed necessary by CTS management.
- Maintain quality principles compatible with current ISO standards and comply with Cubic values and all company policy and procedures.
- Comply with the code of conduct, quality, security and occupational health, safety and environmental policies and procedures.
- Execute any other duties assigned by the manager from time‑to‑time.
- Proven ‘hands on’ experience working in a high‑tech Service/Maintenance environment.
- A recognised Engineering Qualification.
- Ability to work in a 5‑night shift pattern.
- Experience of working in a Service/Maintenance environment.
- Proven customer service skills.
- Good communication skills.
- HNC or equivalent in Electronics or Mechanical Engineering (desirable).
- Experience on SLA‑driven contracts with call‑to‑fix and system availability criteria (desirable).
