Location: Kingston upon Hull

We are hiring industrial Painters/Painting Supervisors to join our team on a major project at the Sellafield nuclear decommissioning, waste management, and material storage site in Cumbria. Applicants must have ICATS or equivalent painting qualifications and a valid CSCS card. Site clearance is desirable but not essential; however, all applicants must be eligible to obtain clearance. Previous experience gained from working in a similar highly controlled environment is preferred.

The vacancies are permanent full-time roles, working 39 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with overtime as required to support ongoing project(s). The pay rates are in accordance with the on-site CIJC Agreement.

Reporting to an Enigma Industrial Services Team Leader, you will be instrumental in planning and completing scheduled work along with supporting the delivery of site excellence for Health & safety and quality compliance. You will have relevant knowledge and skills, including professional competency in preparation and application methodology.

General

Responsibilities include:
  • Carrying out work in a safe manner by following site rules and regulations.
  • Appreciation of industry-standard safe working practices, including permit-to-work systems, COSHH, risk assessments and accident/incident reporting.
  • Ensure that all work is undertaken within the job holder’s own level of demonstrated competence.
  • Ability to use the tools and instruments of the painting and coating trade.
  • Ability to think quickly and implement safety practices.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Responsible and respectful.
  • Organised, diligent and methodical.
  • Using coordination and the ability to work efficiently within a team.
  • Appreciation of industry safety standards and procedures.
