General Service Technician

Sun Auto Tire & Service is a leading provider of automotive services with a family of trusted brands serving communities coast to coast. We’re committed to integrity, excellence, and developing our team.

$14–$18 per hour, depending on experience and skill set.

• Tire mounting, dismounting, balancing & rotation
• Oil changes and other light vehicle maintenance
• Multi‑point inspections & documenting vehicle conditions
• Keeping the shop clean, organized, and safe
• Driving vehicles safely and courteously, obeying all traffic laws
• Picking up parts and supplies
• Transporting customers as needed
• Following all safety procedures and reporting any concerns to the direct supervisor
• Supporting team members with other assigned tasks
• Adhering to Sun Auto’s core values and all company policies and procedures as outlined in the Employee Handbook

• A strong work ethic and willingness to learn
• Some knowledge of basic automotive systems (preferred)
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
• Must be at least 18 years old
• High school diploma or equivalent (preferred)
• Flexibility to work Saturdays (with Sundays off!)
• State inspector license (or working toward one)

The General Service Technician will be exposed to moderate to loud noises, dust, exhaust fumes, lubricants, petroleum products, vapors, caustic materials, and other hazardous and non‑hazardous materials. The temperature in the work environment varies and could include extreme heat and/or extreme cold.

Required physical requirements:

• Stand up to eight hours per day in the shop and be able to walk to gain access to various areas
• Bend, stoop, kneel, and crouch regularly; full range of motion in arms and hands
• Lift and/or move up to 10 pounds regularly, 70 pounds frequently
• Communicate effectively with customers and shop personnel
• Vision sufficient to detect color, depth, and re‑focus
