Job Description ROLE DESCRIPTION

The Regional Sales Manager is responsible for sales and marketing efforts of the company on a local and regional level as well as originating factoring and ABL clients consistent with the company’s credit policy. Initiating and maintaining relationships with referral sources and influence centers, with emphasis on building and maintaining referral relationships within the TCCC organization. This person will also assist in the gathering of documents for the underwriting process of new clients from prospect to client status;

and seeking approval from the President and/or Executive Management for new client transactions.

JOB SPECIFICATIONS

B.A., B.S., or equivalent work experience is required. Must have five to ten years sales experience in banking, finance, factoring or ABL environment. Must be knowledgeable and experienced in the use of marketing tools and methods, including both in person networking, as well as email marketing and use of social media, mailings, and other forms of customer outreach. Candidate must be able to prove the existence of an established, productive referral network as well as the ability to consistently identify and expand COI’s.

Skills should include computer literacy in Word and Excel and other computer programs. Problem solving and decision-making skills are essential. Ability to read and interpret financial documents is essential. Good organizational, interpersonal, communications, and customer relations skills are required. Attention to detail and mental concentration are necessary for handling frequent interruptions, balancing several on-going tasks and working in a fast-paced environment.

EXTERNAL CONTACTS

Frequent contact with potential and current clients (including cold calls); with centers of influence and referral sources; with members of business and community groups at specific events; and occasional contact with job applicants, vendors and sales representatives. Travel to customers, prospects and referral sources as well.

INTERNAL CONTACTS

Daily contact with all areas and members of management, underwriters, Portfolio Managers, Credit Personnel, and Operations Personnel.

DECISION MAKING RESPONSIBILITES

Works with President and Operations Manager to negotiate price and structure of new transactions within set limits; and review all transactions before sending to senior management.

EXPOSURE TO CONFIDENTIAL INFORMATION

Access to company financial, market, client, and personnel information; unauthorized release of information could result in customer and/or employee dissatisfaction, loss of customer and / or employees, financial loss to the Company, damage to Company reputation, and/or potential litigation against the Company.

KEY ACTIVITIES
  • Markets to current and potential referral sources including, but not limited to, the following:
    • Customers
    • Banks
    • CPA’s
    • Attorneys
    • Venture Capital Firms
    • Private Equity
    • Financial Firms
    • Business Brokers
    • National Organizations
  • Visit existing customers, prospective clients, and referral sources.
  • Conducts detailed market analysis for sourcing of potential clients.
  • Conducts cold calls to potential clients and referral sources to introduce TCCC and available services.
  • Completes call reports/Pipeline reports.
  • KEY SKILLS
    • Proven track record of success closing ABL/factoring client relationships and expanding referral networks.
    • Organizational skills essential.
    • Strong oral and written communication skills.
    • Ability to build and maintain internal and external relationships.
    • Development of various centers of influence for product orientated leads.
    • High level of familiarity with documentation specific to ABL and Factoring facilities.
    • Work in a fast-moving team environment.
    • Must be able to manage several projects in varying stages at the same time.
    • Good delegation skills.

    Must be able to take ownership/responsibility of results.
