Are you prepared to assume a crucial role within the Training Department?
The Technical Trainer plays a vital role within the US organization, serving as a key interface with the global training team and resources. This position is responsible for developing and facilitating US-based training programs for the Wind Turbine platforms, as well as other technical and regulatory training needs. The Technical Trainer will create training content, develop job performance measures (JPMs), and maintain systems for assessing technical expertise and competencies, with progress tracked in the company's Learning Management System (LMS).
This role requires developing new course content or modifying existing DWT all Wind Turbine course content while also supporting Operations and Quality functions. Extensive travel is required to meet training and operational demands across DWT’s worksites throughout the USA. The Technical Trainer will support several programs, including the Technical Training Program, Employee Development Program, New Hire Orientation, Advanced Rescue Training Program, and the federally registered Apprentice Program.

Support the Technical Training Program, Employee Development Program, and other key training initiatives?
Develop and coordinate training content, including all wind turbine training modules, JPMs, approach distance cards, multimedia visual aids, and other materials?
Plan and deliver staff development programs using effective methods such as classroom training, demonstrations, on-the-job training, and workshops?
Perform skills assessments for new hires and develop curriculum tailored to technician career progression?
Create and implement testing and evaluation procedures to ensure competency?
Support site SME’s updating list for each department of SME’s to help verify competencies and keep them current.
Travel to worksites throughout the USA to facilitate field training as needed.
Support and develop internal rope rescue and advanced rescue training programs.
Collaborate with the Global Training Team, EHS Department, HR Department, and Quality Department to promote safety, quality, and continuous improvement in training courses.
Collaborate with and support Training Specialist in daily jobs such as tracking certifications and CBT learnings of all techs in the field SFS, O &M, and Repower.
Assist in managing program budgets to ensure department runs in a fiscally responsible way Provide on-site training at worksite locations as needed.
Offer interim support for Operations, EHS, Engineering and Quality functions, including site setup, QC checks, audits, and document generation.
High school diploma required; a college degree in a relevant field is preferred
5 years in a similar role or a combination of knowledge and experience with training programs in the wind industry
Valid driver’s license (NON-CDL or CDL) and clean driving record
Platform-specific Technical Trainer or Advanced Level Site Technician experience preferred
Expertise in electrical theory and hydraulic theory
Proficiency in basic and advanced troubleshooting
