Lead Engineer, Manufacturing Engineer, Mechanical Engineer

Aspen Manufacturing is seeking a Lead Engineer to support our engineering team and drive long‑term product and technology growth. This role reports to the Director of Engineering and requires a player‑coach mindset
—balancing strategic leadership with hands‑on technical execution. This is a full‑time, on‑site position based in Humble, Texas.

• Provide engineering leadership and technical oversight to guide new technology platform development
• Coordinate technical project activities, including scope definition, testing, simulations, and proof‑of‑concept build
• Apply creativity and sound judgment to solve complex, unprecedented engineering challenge
• Collaborate with supply chain, manufacturing, and other downstream functions to resolve internal and external issue
• Support and supervise engineering activities across simulation, theoretical computations, product development, and lab operation
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field
• Five years of relevant engineering experience

• Prior leadership or management experience
• Advanced engineering degree
• Proven HVAC product experience in a manufacturing environment
• Strong project management, time management, and prioritization abilities
• Effective team collaboration toward time‑bound goal
• Deep technical knowledge of vapor compression cycles, hydronic systems, electrical wiring, and control
• Root cause analysis and solution‑oriented problem‑solving
• Ability to balance hands‑on work with effective delegation

This role operates primarily in an office setting, with periodic work in a warehouse environment that requires appropriate PPE. The position involves computer use, moderate physical activity, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Reasonable accommodations may be provided as needed.
