Manufacturing Engineer, Process Engineer
Our client is a global leader in high-performance polymer products, wear components, and functional parts. With locations across North America, Europe, the Middle East, and Asia-Pacific, they deliver fully integrated solutions from raw materials to finished products through in-house engineering and material development capabilities. Serving industries such as Aerospace, Automotive, Energy, Medical, Semiconductor, and Water Treatment, our materials and products are expertly engineered and tested on-site.
Our team is committed to innovation and excellence in delivering cutting-edge solutions around the globe.
- Technical Application & Product Development:
Design and development of polymer-based sealing systems, wear components, and engineered parts for industrial and rotating equipment. - Translate customer operating conditions (pressure, temperature, speed, media, tolerances) into validated engineering design criteria.
- Conduct formal design reviews, secondary checks, and validation verification activities.
- Develop engineering specifications, drawings, and documentation using 3D CAD (Solid Works preferred).
- Project & Cross-Functional Leadership:
Lead assigned cross-functional engineering projects from concept through validation and production release. - Develop project plans, validation strategies, and risk assessments. Monitor project scope, schedule, and technical risk.
- Serve as technical interface to customers in coordination with Sales and Business Development.
- Support supplier technical evaluations and material approvals.
- Validation, Testing & Failure Analysis:
Design and execute validation testing for materials and product performance. - Interpret test data to validate design assumptions and refine performance limits.
- Perform structured root cause failure analysis (RCA, DOE, etc.) and implement corrective actions.
- Prepare technical reports and customer-facing documentation.
- Manufacturing & Quality Integration:
Collaborate with Manufacturing Engineering to ensure scalable, repeatable production processes. - Support design-for-manufacturability (DFM) and process capability development.
- Participate in quality initiatives, audits, and engineering change management (ECR/ECN).
- Apply structured problem-solving and appropriate statistical tools (SPC/SQC).
- Support continuous improvement initiatives related to safety, quality, cost, and reliability.
- Provide technical guidance to designers on assigned programs and promote engineering best practices.
Work will primarily be office-based with regular interaction in laboratory, production, and assembly areas.
Exposure to industrial environments including high noise, pressure, temperature, chemicals, and heavy equipment may occur.
