Mechanical Design Engineer – Drill Bits

Partner with the bestAs a Mechanical Design Engineer, you will play a critical role in designing drill bits and supporting operations across regions. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance product performance, improve manufacturing processes, and deliver high-quality engineering solutions aligned with customer needs.
Responsibilities- Creating drill bit designs and manufacturing packages using 3D modeling and data management systems
- Supporting NAL Central & NE Operations by providing design expertise aligned with regional requirements
- Interfacing with Product Line Management, Operations, Manufacturing, and Technology teams to improve product performance and efficiency
- Engaging directly with customers to understand technical needs, gather feedback, and ensure satisfaction
- Documenting and sharing lessons learned across cross-functional teams
- Supporting manufacturing teams with troubleshooting, problem solving, and issue resolution
- Ensuring all work aligns with HSE, Quality, Legal compliance, and organizational cultural standards
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited university or college
- 5–10 years of relevant engineering experience
- Experience working with 3D CAD systems
- Experience with simulation tools such as Finite Element Analysis (FEA) and Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD)
- Ability to select appropriate engineering techniques, perform analysis, and make sound design recommendations
- Knowledge of mechanical component design and applied engineering principles
- Ability to drive adherence to product design standards and support continuous updates
- Capability to lead engineering projects with limited supervision
- Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively across cross-functional and global teams
- Strong communication and technical presentation skills
- Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities
