Location: Atascocita - 2310 1/2 Atascocita Rd. Humble, TX 77396
About Our Atascocita Location (Harris County):Alpharus Health's largest facility, Atascocita is a residential correctional center focused solely on substance use treatment for court-ordered clients. With 12 buildings and nearly 500 clients, the facility provides a structured, secure environment without armed guards. Staff work collaboratively in a team of 170, including counselors, probation officers, and support staff. The location is undergoing major renovations to become a state-of-the-art treatment center.
We foster a supportive culture with team-building activities, recognition programs, and a strong mission-driven focus on recovery and rehabilitation.
Work Schedule: Monday though Friday; 8:00AM - 4:30PM
Counseling Liaison responsibilities:- Assists with and provides didactic group counseling, including educating clients on actions needed to successfully achieve treatment goals, to promote the development of effective life skills to support a healthy, drug-free lifestyle.
- Monitors client behavior and reports observations, missing clients, incidents or unusual occurrences;
Assists team in maintaining consistent setting for treatment and coordinating client interaction events. - Contributes to decisions regarding treatment plans, conflict intervention, or privileges.
- Provides programming support for Volunteer Services by monitoring participation and ensuring all volunteer activities are conducted in accordance with facility policies, security procedures, and treatment objectives.
- Completes and maintains all required documentation related to programming activities, volunteer services, and client participation. Ensures records are accurate, complete, timely, and maintained in compliance with organizational requirements.
- Administers TCU assessments in accordance with program requirements and uploading assessment data into designated systems.
- Focuses on group facilitation, client engagement, documentation related to assigned activities, coordination of support services, and other clinical support functions as directed by the Clinical Supervisor or clinical leadership.
- High School diploma or GED
- At least twelve (12) months experience working with clients in a residential substance use treatment center, or correctional facility environment.
- Valid local Driver's License, good driving record, and must be at least 21 years of age
- Ability to effectively communicate with others, interact and establish a rapport with clients, and to develop therapeutic relationship
- Ability to facilitate positive group interaction and mutual support
- Ability to use intervention methods to bring positive behavioral changes in clients
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
