Operations Manager

Responsibilities- Drive the creation of quality initiatives, process change initiatives, and other Lean initiatives to enable the functional area and the FC to meet and exceed the business plan.
- Responsible for the overall safety, quality, performance, and customer experience of either Inbound or Outbound operations.
- Set and clarify requirements and expectations for Operations and Area Managers, measure performance, provide feedback, and hold Ops Managers accountable for performance and the performance of their departments.
- Leverage Operations and Area Managers by sourcing and nurturing ideas and rolling them into improvement plans for the functional area.
- Takes proactive steps to ensure best practices are shared across all departments, shifts, and among the network.
- Works closely with support staff (HR, Finance, Facilities, Safety, IT, and other Sr. Ops Managers) to build and secure support and resources for projects and initiatives in their area, and provide needed support for other staff initiatives.
- Lift and move totes up to 49 pounds each.
- Regular bending, lifting, stretching, and reaching both below the waist and above the head.
- Walk in the FC and around the area with great frequency; the facility is over a quarter mile in length.
- Continual standing and/or walking an average of 5 miles daily.
- Ability to work in construction/distribution environments that may be noisy, unlit, unheated, not air‑conditioned.
- Ability to access all areas of building (ascending and descending ladders, stairs, gangways safely and without limitation).
- Experience in a Global Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Production/Procurement, Distribution, Logistics, or related environment/operations.
- Bachelor's degree, or 2+ years of Amazon experience.
- Experience with full staffing lifecycle, including interviewing, hiring, performance management, promotions, and terminations.
- Work a flexible schedule/shift/work area, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays.
- 7+ years direct management experience, including a salaried workforce, in a manufacturing, production or distribution environment.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent, or experience in Engineering, Operations, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Experience leading large contingent workforce programs.
- Experience working in fast‑paced environments, and managing workload even during times of stress or escalated activity.
- Experience hiring candidates, mentoring and developing employees in their careers.

The base salary range for this position is - USD annually. Your Amazon package will include sign‑on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
