Our Site Leader is responsible for all budgetary, people development and operations objectives at the fulfillment center. The Site Leader manages and leads a team of Operations and Area Managers, coaches and mentors the team to ensure performance objectives are met, builds positive employee relations, and strengthens the leadership bench within the center.
Responsibilities- Drive creation of quality initiatives, process change initiatives and other Lean initiatives to enable the functional area and the FC to meet and exceed the business plan.
- Oversee safety, quality, performance and customer experience of either Inbound or Outbound operations.
- Set and clarify requirements and expectations for Operations and Area Managers; measure performance, provide feedback and hold Ops Managers accountable.
- Leverage Operations and Area Managers by sourcing and nurturing ideas, and incorporating them into improvement plans for the functional area.
- Take proactive steps to ensure best practices are shared across all departments, shifts and across the network.
- Collaborate with support staff (HR, Finance, Facilities, Safety, IT and other Sr. Operations Managers) to secure resources for projects and initiatives in the area, and provide needed support for other staff initiatives.
Physical Requirements
- Lift and move totes up to 49 pounds each.
- Regular bending, lifting, stretching and reaching both below the waist and above the head.
- Walk frequently in the FC and around area (facility extends over a quarter mile in length).
- Stand and/or walk an average of 5 miles daily.
- Work in construction/distribution environments that may be noisy, unlit, unheated or not air‑conditioned.
- Access all building areas safely (ascending/descending ladders, stairs, gangways without limitation).
- Experience in a Global Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Production/Procurement, Distribution, Logistics or related environment/operations.
- Bachelor’s degree, or 2+ years of Amazon experience.
- Experience with the full staffing lifecycle: interviewing, hiring, performance management, promotions and terminations.
- Work a flexible schedule/shift/work area, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays.
- 7+ years direct management experience, including a salaried workforce, in a manufacturing, production or distribution environment.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, or experience in Engineering, Operations, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Experience leading large contingent workforce programs.
- Experience working in fast‑paced environments and managing workload during times of stress or escalated activity.
- Experience hiring candidates, mentoring and developing employees in their careers.
Salary range: $ – $ annually. Your Amazon package will include sign‑on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
