Overview
Ensure the proper functionality, maintenance, and optimal condition of extrusion and drawing dies, supporting production continuity and product quality standards.
Responsibilities
- Manage tooling lifecycle including creation, usage, maintenance, disposal, and replacement requests.
- Perform die maintenance activities such as polishing, reconditioning, and minor machining according to technical specifications.
- Conduct dimensional inspections and technical evaluations of dies and tooling to ensure compliance with design and quality standards.
- Analyze tooling performance and support root cause analysis for product defects or process deviations.
- Prepare, assemble, and ensure readiness of tooling sets for extrusion and drawing operations based on production plans.
- Control and manage tooling inventory using SAP, including stock levels, traceability, and system updates.
- Record and report maintenance activities, tooling conditions, and production data in systems for traceability and continuous improvement.
- Support process optimization in extrusion and drawing operations, collaborating with production teams to improve efficiency and quality.
- Ensure proper use, handling, and preservation of tools, equipment, and work environment standards (5S).
- Comply with safety, quality, and operational procedures, reporting risks, deviations, and incidents in a timely manner.
- High School Diploma (required)
- Technical training in machining, tooling, or related field (preferred)
- Equivalent hands-on industrial mechanical maintenance experience will be considered.
- At least 1 year of experience in industrial or manufacturing environments
- Knowledge of die maintenance, polishing, and dimensional metrology (preferred)
- Familiarity with industrial safety, quality, and environmental standards
- Proactivity, teamwork, assertive communication, strong safety mindset, and ability to work under pressure and rotating shifts.
