Rolling Mill Operator

Compensation: $18 - $20 per hour (DOE - Depending on Experience)
II. POSITION PURPOSE
Operate extrusion equipment to manufacture copper and alloy products according to technical specifications, production schedules, and quality standards.
III.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Operate rolling mill equipment according to production schedules and work instructions
- Monitor rolling mill parameters including speed, roll pressure, material thickness, and product quality
- Set up and adjust rolling mill equipment to meet production requirements
- Perform roll changes, machine adjustments, and product changeovers as needed
- Inspect materials and finished products using calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other measuring devices
- Monitor product dimensions and surface quality to ensure compliance with specifications
- Record production data, quality information, and equipment readings in SAP or production systems
- Identify and report equipment malfunctions, process deviations, and quality concerns
- Assist with troubleshooting and preventive maintenance activities
- Operate forklifts, overhead cranes, and material handling equipment when authorized
- Follow all safety procedures, lockout/tagout requirements, and company policies
- Maintain clean and organized work areas following 5S standards
- Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, quality, and productivity
IV. EDUCATION - High School Diploma or equivalent.
V. EXPERIENCE - 6 months - 1 year operating industrial machinery (preferred).
VI. TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE
• Basic knowledge of extrusion processes
• Overhead crane operation (preferred)
• Basic SAP or production reporting
