Technician
This role supports a manufacturing operation that produces gaskets, seals, pistons, inserts, and cast components. You will work with a variety of parts and materials, performing hands-on tasks such as washing, sandblasting, painting, and basic machine operation in a production environment. The position focuses on reliability, a strong work ethic, and attention to detail rather than prior industry experience.
Responsibilities- Wash parts to prepare them for further processing or finishing
- Sandblast components to clean, smooth, or prepare surfaces for bonding or painting
- Apply bonding agents and paint to parts following established procedures and safety guidelines
- Trim flashing and excess material from finished parts to meet quality standards
- Operate a manual lathe under guidance to perform basic machining tasks on parts
- Perform repetitive production tasks with consistent quality and attention to detail
- Follow work instructions, safety procedures, and quality requirements at all times
- Maintain a clean and organized work area to support efficient production
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to ensure smooth workflow
- Demonstrate reliability by maintaining consistent attendance and punctuality
- Strong reliability and consistent work habits
- Willingness to learn new tasks and follow instructions closely
- Ability to perform repetitive work while maintaining attention to detail
- Comfort working in a production or factory-type environment
- Ability to perform manual, hands-on tasks such as washing, sandblasting, and trimming parts
- Capability to operate basic machinery, including a manual lathe, with training
- Strong work ethic and positive attitude toward learning and improvement
Skills & Qualifications
- Experience in factory, manufacturing, or general labor roles is a plus
- Experience in fast food or other high-volume, repetitive work environments is a plus
- Prior sandblasting experience is beneficial
- Previous experience operating a manual lathe is advantageous
- Spanish language skills are a plus

Work EnvironmentThe role is based in a non-climate-controlled facility with some work performed in a partially outdoor shop environment. The standard schedule runs from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., with minimal overtime required. You will work in a hands-on production setting that involves machinery, sandblasting equipment, and manual tools, and you should be comfortable working in varying temperatures and industrial shop conditions.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Humble, TX.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $14.00 - $14.00/hr eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
