Job Description
Bio Life Plasma Services, a subsidiary of Takeda, is looking for a Medical Support Specialist (Plasma Center Nurse) to support plasma center operations. The role reports to the Plasma Center Manager and assists the Center Physician with medical issues.
Responsibilities- Determine donor eligibility and manage informed consent, medical history interview, physical examination, blood testing, and review of Serological Protein Electrophoresis (SPE).
- Evaluate donor reactions and follow SOPs for medical emergencies, including development of standing orders and coordination of donor transport to emergency care facilities.
- Consult with the Center Physician or Medical Affairs on unacceptable findings and medical or technical issues related to donor safety and eligibility.
- Support Hepatitis B and seasonal flu vaccination programs for employees as applicable.
- Manage employee incidents, determine further evaluation requirements by occupational health/ER, and reference EHS guidance.
- Serve as Pandemic Coordinator when authorized by EHS, supporting investigations of pandemic threats.
- Assist in environmental, health, and safety (EHS) support under Bio Life Medical Affairs guidance.
- High‑school diploma or equivalent; or graduate‑level nursing education with state requirements.
- Licensed or certified in the state of assignment:
Registered Nurse (RN), Nurse Practitioner (NP), or Physician Assistant (PA). - Current CPR and AED certification.
- Fulfillment of state basic IV therapy requirements.
- Completed FDA‑approved training for a Medical Support Specialist.
- At least two years of experience in a clinical or hospital setting.
- Knowledge of plasma collection industry regulations or manufacturing environments.

CompensationHourly wage range: $33.44 – $45.98 per hour, adjustable based on qualifications and experience. U.S. employees may be eligible for short‑term incentives, 401(k) plan with company match, and a generous sick leave and vacation schedule.
