Bilingual Plasma Center Nurse LPN

Job Description

As a Medical Support Specialist (Plasma Center Nurse) you will support plasma center operations and report to the Plasma Center Manager.

• Determine donor eligibility, including proper management of informed consent, AIDS education and confidential self‑exclusion, medical history interview and acceptance requirements, physical examination, blood testing, and reviewing Serological Protein Electrophoresis (SPE).
• Evaluate donor reactions and manage medical emergencies as outlined in SOPs; follow standing orders and arrange donor transport to emergency care facilities.
• Refer to the Center Physician or Medical Affairs for medical or technical guidance, including donor safety and eligibility.
• Support Hepatitis B and seasonal flu vaccination programs for employees.
• Manage employee incidents and determine further evaluation by occupational health; follow EHS guidance.
• Act as a Pandemic Coordinator when authorized by EHS and support investigations associated with pandemic threats.

• High school diploma or equivalent, including graduate equivalent of a recognized educational nursing program with state requirements.
• Currently licensed or certified in the state of assignment: LPN or LVN.
• Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and AED certification.
• Fulfill state requirements for basic IV therapy.
• Complete FDA approved training requirements for Bio Life Medical Support Specialist.
• Two years of experience in a clinical or hospital setting.

Hourly wage range: $24.32 – $33.44. Actual wage may vary based on qualifications and experience.
