Job Description
Medical Support Specialist (Plasma Center Nurse) reports to the Plasma Center Manager and supports daily operations at Bio Life Plasma Services, a subsidiary of Takeda Pharmaceutical Company Ltd.
Responsibilities- Determine donor eligibility and manage informed consent, disease education, and self-exclusion.
- Conduct medical history interviews, physical examinations, blood testing, and review Serological Protein Electrophoresis (SPE) results.
- Evaluate donor reactions, implement SOPs for medical emergencies, and coordinate transportation to emergency care.
- Refer to the Center Physician or Medical Affairs for medical or technical issues, including unacceptable findings.
- Support Hepatitis B and Seasonal Flu vaccination programs for employees.
- Manage employee incidents and coordinate with occupational health/ER and EHS guidance.
- Act as Pandemic Coordinator when authorized by EHS, investigating pandemic threats.
- Provide center level support for environmental, health, and safety (EHS) in line with Bio Life Medical Affairs.
- High school diploma or graduate equivalency of a recognized nursing program with state requirements.
- Licensed or certified in the state where responsibilities will be assigned:
Registered Nurse (RN), Nurse Practitioner (NP), or Physician Assistant (PA). - Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and AED certification.
- Fulfill state requirements for basic IV therapy.
- Complete FDA approved training for Bio Life Medical Support Specialist.
- At least two years in a clinical or hospital setting.

Hourly Wage Range: $33.44 - $45.98 (actual wage depends on qualifications, experience, skills, and location).
