Job Description

Medical Support Specialist (Plasma Center Nurse) reports to the Plasma Center Manager and supports plasma center operations.

• Determine donor eligibility, including informed consent, AIDS education, self‑exclusion, medical history interview and acceptance requirements, physical examination, blood testing, and review of serological test results.
• Manage donor adverse events, evaluate donor reactions, follow SOPs for medical emergencies, and facilitate donor transport to emergency care facilities.
• Coordinate with the Center Physician or Medical Affairs for unacceptable findings and provide medical or technical guidance.
• Support employee vaccination programs (Hepatitis B and Seasonal Flu) and handle employee incidents per occupational health and ER procedures.
• Act as Pandemic Coordinator when authorized by EHS and support investigations related to pandemic threats within the local community.

• High school diploma or equivalent, or a graduate degree from a recognized nursing program meeting state requirements.
• Licensed or certified as LPN or LVN in the state where responsibilities will be assigned.
• Current CPR and AED certification.
• State‑required basic IV therapy training.
• Completion of FDA‑approved training for Bio Life Medical Support Specialist.
• Two years of experience in a clinical or hospital setting.

U.S. Hourly Wage Range: $24.32 – $33.44
