Job Description
As a Medical Support Specialist (Plasma Center Nurse) at Bio Life Plasma Services, you will support plasma center operations by ensuring donor eligibility, managing donor adverse events, reviewing laboratory test results, and providing center‑level environmental, health and safety (EHS) support in compliance with plasma collection regulations.
Responsibilities- Determine donor eligibility, including informed consent, AIDS education, medical history interview, physical examination, blood testing, and review of Serological Protein Electrophoresis (SPE).
- Manage donor adverse events and review laboratory test results, notifying donors of unsuitable results.
- Evaluate donor reactions according to SOPs and handle medical emergencies, including development of standing orders and transporting donors to emergency care.
- Refer to the Center Physician or Medical Affairs for unacceptable findings or medical/technical guidance.
- Support Hepatitis B and seasonal flu vaccination programs for employees.
- Manage employee incidents and determine further evaluation required by occupational health/ER following EHS guidance.
- Act as Pandemic Coordinator when authorized by EHS, supporting investigations of pandemic threats.
- Operate in compliance with regulations governing plasma collection or manufacturing environments.
- Follow guidance from Bio Life Medical Affairs and provide center‑level EHS support.
- High school diploma or equivalent, including completion of a recognized nursing program.
- Licensed or certified in the state of assignment as a Registered Nurse (RN), Nurse Practitioner (NP), or Physician Assistant (PA).
- Current CPR and AED certification.
- State‑approved basic IV therapy credential.
- Successful completion of FDA‑approved Bio Life Medical Support Specialist training.
- At least two years of experience in a clinical or hospital setting.

Hourly wage range: $33.44 – $45.98 per hour, commensurate with qualifications and experience.
