Part-Time Assistant Manager - Level 1

We’re looking for music and pop culture fanatics to help create the best experience for our customers. As a Hot Topic Part-Time Assistant Manager – Level 1, you’ll be a huge part of our success by supporting the store leadership team in providing the best customer experience, ensuring that fellow fans can get their hands on the merch they love. You’ll use your fandom knowledge to help train new recruits and ensure their success, and also support the management team in daily operations and meeting sales targets.

• Provide an amazing shopping experience that will encourage customers to return. They’ll be impressed by your product knowledge, customer experience skills, and use of the Force.
• Support store operations by stepping in and stepping up when needed, including covering the sales floor and providing leadership support when your Manager is unavailable.
• You’ll have the keys to the store, opening and closing as needed.
• Operate the register, process sales transactions, and use your fandom knowledge to drive add-on sales, including benefits such as BOPIS and curbside pickup. You’ll also close out the register and communicate shortages or overages to your Store Manager.
• Understand store sales plans, goals, and key KPIs such as UPT and ADT.
• Assist with planogram changes, including store layout, wall displays, fixtures, and merchandising mix.
• Communicate fashion and music trend information to management and HQ partners.
• Work with Store Management to prevent theft and misuse of spells and wizardry.
• Support store maintenance by keeping the stock room organized and the store tidy.
• Help develop and retain a passionate, collaborative team to run your store.
• Perform any other activities as assigned by your Store Leader.

• At least 1 year of retail store experience. A love for music and pop culture is a plus!
• Strong skills in communication, time management, professionalism, operations, and a drive to develop your team.
• A high school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Ability to navigate the store, merchandise products using approved equipment, and lift up to 50 pounds.
