Responsibilities

Job Summary:

As a Customer Service Representative, you'll be responsible for providing a well-stocked and well-maintained department while providing superior customer service. You'll stock and properly rotate products on a daily basis, while maintaining all department and safety / sanitation standards.

Responsibilities
  • Stocking:
    Stocks and rotates items; assists with inventory control; loads, unloads, and moves product; organizes, cleans, and prepares back area for the night crew and incoming trucks; organizes merchandise on pallets to presentable condition; ensures integrity of shelf tags and signage; may create or prepare signage as needed; maintains standards in shrink, safety, inventory control, and sanitation; checks shipments for out-of-date and damaged product to ensure freshness and quality;

    builds, stocks, maintains, and takes down store displays; performs duties of Customer Service Assistant as needed.
  • Customer Service:
    Provides superior customer service; answers customer questions regarding products and assists with selections; helps customers locate store merchandise.
  • Sales:
    Merchandises product effectively; uses suggestive selling techniques to meet customer needs and build department sales.
  • Food Safety / Sanitation:
    Cleans and sanitizes sales floor, display cases, prep areas, and equipment; properly handles and maintains operation of all equipment; complies with departmental SOPs and store operating procedures.
  • Additional Department-Specific Responsibilities / Pre-requisites:
    Beauty, Drugstore / General Merchandise, Grocery, Texas Backyard, Entertainment – details vary by department; examples include knowledge of beauty products, signing/tags as needed, outdoor product knowledge, and training requirements (Green Thumb internal training).
Qualifications & Key Requirements
  • Work Experience:

    Strong customer service skills; required communication and interpersonal skills; required reading and writing skills; required planning and organizing skills.
  • Education:

    HS Diploma or GED (or equivalent).
  • Licenses/Certifications:

    Completion of Company Orientation and Safety Training upon hire.
  • Physical Demands &

    Working Conditions:

    Ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment with detailed and precise tasks; ability to work with customers; lifting requirements vary by department (examples per department: Beauty, Drugstore/General Merchandise, Grocery, Texas Backyard, Healthy Living) with specified weights and conditions; ability to push/pull, reach, stand, walk, bend, stoop, and climb; exposure to cold, loud noise, and wet conditions; safe lifting practices must be followed.
