Job Overview
As a Sales Lead at Vans, you will support the store leadership team by ensuring the highest level of customer engagement and sales results. You will model the brand voice, provide sales-related feedback, coach associate performance, foster inclusivity, and sometimes act as the store manager in the absence of another manager.
Day in the Life• Deliver a high level of personalized customer engagement through genuine interactions.
• Assist in maximizing and achieving store sales and goals by monitoring progress against key targets.
• Foster a consumer‑centric mindset and an inclusive store environment.
• Provide direct feedback, coaching, and supervision to associates.
• Occasionally assume responsibility for the store when a manager is unavailable (covering breaks, meal periods, opening procedures, etc.).
• Provide actionable feedback to store associates and adhere to company policies and procedures.
- Support store leadership to achieve sales and profit goals.
- Coach, motivate, and build a high‑performing, diverse team.
- Maintain a high level of customer service and store presentation.
- Provide direct feedback and coaching to associates.
- Assume managerial responsibilities as needed.
- Adhere to policies, procedures, and company directives.
- 1 year of related retail experience preferred; not required.
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred; hands‑on experience and achievements valued.
- Proven ability to drive results through store teams and exceed sales and profit goals.
- Skilled in coaching, motivating, and building high‑performing, diverse teams.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to influence across all levels.
- Solution‑oriented, flexible, and able to work independently in a fast‑paced environment.
- Comfortable using word processing, spreadsheets, and retail software tools.
- Physical ability to stand, move, bend, reach, squat, climb ladders, and lift light to moderate weight.
Hiring Range: $16.00 – $20.70 USD per hour.
Incentive Potential:
Eligible for annual incentive, sales incentive, or commission potential.
Benefits:
This is a part‑time or limited time position (internship) and is not eligible for all VF Corporation benefits, but eligible for a subset of benefits. Additional details will be provided upon hire.
