Retail Sales Associate - Part time

$10.00 to $14.00 per hour

We offer an easily achievable commission structure that pays you for every transaction you process! Retail sales associates can earn up to 8% on transactions, which could average an additional $5.08 per hour on top of your hourly rate.

We are seeking entry‑level, part‑time sales associates for our pawn store locations nationwide. The Pawnbroker / Retail Sales Associate partners with the entire staff of the store to ensure customer service on both the lending and retail sides of the business. They greet, engage, and interact with customers in a professional manner to process sales, loans, and other transactions. Associates work with a wide variety of jewelry and general merchandise, including tools, electronics, firearms (in FFL locations), and more.

• Greets and interacts with all customers to develop a rapport and recommend appropriate financial solutions.
• Performs non‑management open/close procedures.
• Keeps the sales floor clean, stocked, and maintains the display of merchandise.
• Performs sales and loan transactions in accordance with established policies, procedures, practices, and regulatory requirements.
• Handles all cash and negotiable items in accordance with established policies, procedures, practices, and regulatory requirements.
• Answers incoming calls per company standards.
• Effectively communicates the legal aspects of pawn and buy transactions to customers.
• Communicates effectively with coworkers and managers, displaying respect and using effective communication tools.
• Partners with all employees to create a positive and memorable customer experience.
• Successfully completes assigned training.
• Other related duties, as assigned.

• Must be willing and able to lift or carry up to 50 pounds.
• Must be willing and able to perform duties for extended periods of time, including standing, stooping, walking, climbing, pushing, pulling, and lifting.
• Must be able to work with firearms and obtain firearms certification.
• Must be willing to assist a customer on the exterior of the building or retrieve products stored in exterior areas.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must have a high school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
• Must have a strong desire to work, serve customers, and be team‑orientated.
• Must be able to multitask in a fast‑paced environment.
• Must be proficient in basic math calculations.
• Cash handling experience is preferred.
• Must be willing to work in multiple locations as business needs dictate.
• Must be willing to work a flexible retail schedule, including weekends and holidays.
• Must be computer literate and able to operate POS systems and common office machines.

The employee commission incentive plan is proprietary to First Cash. Pawnbrokers have the potential to earn 2‑8% commission, based on the gross profit of their personal performance.
