Position Summary
We are seeking entry‑level, full‑time sales associates in our pawn store locations nationwide. A Pawnbroker / Retail Sales Associate partners with the entire staff of the store to provide customer service on both the lending and retail sides of the business. The role involves greeting, engaging, and interacting with customers to process sales, loans, and other transactions involving jewelry, general merchandise, tools, electronics, firearms (in FFL locations), and more.
Responsibilities- Greets and interacts with all customers to develop rapport and recommend appropriate financial solutions.
- Performs non‑management open/close procedures.
- Maintains cleanliness and stocking of the sales floor and merchandise displays.
- Processes sales and loan transactions in accordance with established policies, procedures, practices, and regulatory requirements.
- Handles all cash and negotiable items in accordance with established policies and procedures.
- Answers incoming calls per company standards.
- Communicates the legal aspects of pawn and buy transactions to customers.
- Communicates effectively with coworkers and managers, displaying respect and using effective communication tools.
- Partners with all employees to create a positive and memorable customer experience.
- Successfully completes the assigned training.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
- Must be willing and able to lift/carry up to 50 pounds.
- Must be willing and able to work for extended periods of time, including standing, stooping, walking, climbing, pushing, pulling, and lifting.
- Ability to work with firearms and to become firearms certified.
- Ability to assist customers outside the building or in exterior storage areas.
- Minimum age: 18 years old.
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
- Strong desire to work, serve customers, be team‑oriented.
- Ability to multi‑task in a fast‑paced environment.
- Basic math calculation proficiency.
- Cash handling experience preferred.
- Willingness to work in multiple locations as business needs dictate.
- Flexible retail schedule, including weekends and holidays.
- Computer literate, able to operate Point‑Of‑Sale (POS) systems and common office machines.

- Best working hours in the business: stores open 9 AM – 6 PM; many closed on Sundays.

- Paid vacation: one week after 6 months of service; additional week after 1 year; two weeks on each anniversary thereafter (subject to state/local requirements).

The employee commission incentive plan is proprietary to First Cash. Pawnbrokers have the potential to earn 2‑8% commission based on the gross profit of their personal performance. More details will be provided during the interview process.
