Position Summary
Join our meat team and you’ll be on the front‑lines of customer service—your smile can make the difference between a good shopping experience and a great one. As a fresh food associate you’ll make important decisions about the quality, packaging, and display of our meat items, helping members enjoy the best products.
Responsibilities- Build a strong meat team, collaborating with associates and being flexible to business needs.
- Demonstrate knowledge of floor and back‑room operations, product safety standards, sanitation guidelines, inventory management, and equipment maintenance.
- Prepare meat products—cutting, grinding, wrapping, trimming—according to established standards.
- Leverage digital tools to drive sales, improve the shopping experience, and encourage associate engagement.
- Maintain operational excellence: keep work areas clean, enforce quality and date control standards, secure merchandise, eliminate waste, and assist members with purchasing decisions.
- Advocate for the department and club by modeling high‑quality service and products, executing basics at the highest level, and exhibiting energy, commitment, and passion.
- Comply with company policies, procedures, and ethics, implementing action plans and using the Open Door Policy.
- Prioritize work assignments using policies, data, and resources; collaborate with managers and partners; communicate progress; recommend improvement opportunities; and adapt to change, difficulties, and feedback.
- Experience in meat preparation or a related food service role.
- Strong communication and customer‑service skills.
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment and multitask effectively.
- Problem‑solving mindset and a commitment to excellence.
- Minimum age of 18 years.
- Must successfully complete all required job assessments and training.
Hourly wage range: $17.00 to $25.00* (actual rate meets or exceeds local minimum wage). Premiums may be paid up to $3.00 per hour based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed. Multiple premiums may apply if criteria are met.
