As a Security Officer Armed Govt-Patrol-Driver Security Clearance in Humble, TX
, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a government location, you will conduct routine vehicle and foot patrols, remain highly visible, and respond to security-related concerns with calm communication and professionalism. This is a driving post and an armed post, supporting access control checks and incident reporting while delivering customer service.

- Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Conduct armed foot and/or vehicle patrols of government facilities, grounds, and perimeter areas, with working conditions that may vary by location.
- Maintain a visible presence that helps to deter unwanted activity and/or policy violations while remaining professional and approachable.
- Screen and/or monitor access points as assigned, verifying identification, credentials, and authorization in accordance with post orders.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with site contacts and public agencies as needed.
- Observe, report, and document suspicious behavior, hazards, and/or maintenance concerns through timely notifications and written reports.
- Monitor alarms, cameras, and/or other systems as assigned and take appropriate action based on established procedures.
- Provide directions and general assistance to employees and visitors while supporting orderly movement through the location.
- Complete routine patrol checks of doors, gates, and restricted areas, reporting irregularities according to site procedures.
- Maintain proficiency with assigned equipment and follow all applicable use-of-force guidelines, reporting and documenting any use-of-force incidents per policy.
- Participate in drills and follow emergency procedures for situations such as fire, severe weather, medical events, and/or evacuation.
- Communicate clearly via radio and/or phone, maintaining accurate logs of patrol activity, incidents, and shift turnover information.
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
- Have 3 years of combined law enforcement, military, and/or security experience OR a college degree.
- Maintain an active DoD Secret clearance.
- Maintain an armed guard card/license.
- Client requires proof of high school diploma/GED.
- Have at least 6 months of armed security, law enforcement, and/or military experience.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
