Mon - Fri between 9-11 hours per week*
* + Classes are Tuesday and Thursday from 3:00-4:30pm and 5:00 - 6:30pm

* Position Overview:

* We are seeking a dedicated and engaging  
** ESL Instructor
** to provide onsite English language instruction for company frontline team members. This position involves teaching face-to-face English as a Second Language (ESL) and English for Specific Purposes (ESP) courses designed to improve workplace communication, language proficiency, and career advancement opportunities for adult learners.

The ideal candidate is passionate about adult education, experienced in working with multilingual learners, and skilled at creating inclusive and effective learning environments.

** Responsibilities:*
* · Teach approximately  
** 6 instructional hours per week
** of onsite ESL and/or ESP classes within Tyson facilities.

· Develop and adapt instructional materials to meet the language learning needs of adult students.

· Deliver engaging lessons focused on grammar, reading, writing, listening, and speaking skills.

· Monitor student progress, maintain attendance records, and provide feedback to learners.

· Foster a positive, respectful, and culturally responsive classroom environment.

· Attend Upward Academy partner meetings, faculty meetings, and required training sessions.

· Participate in student recruitment events and program culminating activities.

· Collaborate with program staff and stakeholders to support student success and program goals.

** Requirements:*
* + Bachelor's degree in English, Education, TESOL, Linguistics, or a related field.

+ TESOL, TEFL, CELTA, or equivalent certification.

+ Minimum of three (3) years of adult ESL teaching experience.

+ Experience teaching English for Specific Purposes (ESP) in areas such as business, manufacturing, engineering, technology, or related fields.

+ Knowledge of effective ESL teaching strategies and methodologies, including grammar, reading, writing, listening, and speaking instruction.

+ Demonstrated fluency in English with exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

+ Ability to effectively teach and engage adult English language learners.

+ Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

+ Strong classroom management, organizational, and lesson-planning skills.

+ Proficiency in a second language.

+ Demonstrated cross-cultural awareness and sensitivity.

+ Ability to effectively incorporate technology into instruction.

+ Strong interpersonal, communication, and relationship-building skills.

** Pay Details:**  $40.00 per hour
