Night Shift Cook Operator

Job Summary

Bongards' Creameries is seeking a Night Shift Cook Operator based out of our Humboldt facility. The Cook operator is responsible for monitoring and troubleshooting the assigned Process Cheese line for GMP and Recipe conformance as well as compliance with Federal Guidelines.

• Daily system checks (start up, operation, shut down)
• Addition of ingredients as specified by the recipe
• Gather raw product samples to be evaluated by Lab Technicians
• Make adjustments based on sample results communicated by Lab Techs
• Responsible for monitoring whole line processes (ingredients, pasteurization, finish process)
• Filter inspection and replacement
• Troubleshooting Cooker system
• Maintain accurate documentation
• Must adhere to and follow all GMP's, SOP's, and Safety Guidelines when performing all work.
• Perform sanitation duties and warehouse pile over duties as assigned by supervisor
• Obtain and maintain PIT certification
• Other duties as assigned

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Excellent Math and Reading skills
• Strong interpersonal, organizational and communication skills
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to manage multiple priorities while meeting deadlines
• Ability to work independently on assigned duties
• Strong mechanical aptitude
• Must adhere to and follow all Safety, GMP, other quality guidelines
• Must report all food safety problems to immediate supervisor or designated replacement
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs

• Night Shift 5:30pm to 6:00am Monday - Friday, occasional Saturdays
