Maintenance Generalist; 1st Shift Pet Food​/MSC

Job Details

This position is responsible for troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing all equipment and company assets while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures.

• Maintain machinery to ensure continuous production.
• Set up, adjust, and break down production line machinery.
• Learn and use Tyson SAP software to create work orders and complete daily documentation.
• Communicate effectively with team members, producers, USDA personnel, and drivers.
• Use math for work‑related computations such as machinery fluid capacities.
• Lift up to 50 lbs. periodically and work on feet for up to 12 hours.
• Complete all required training for the job.

• At least 6 months of documented mechanic work experience or graduate/student of an industrial maintenance training program.
• Knowledge in industrial hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical, electronics, plumbing and welding.
• Basic knowledge of PLC operations is a plus.
• Strong electronic skill set.
• Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 lbs. regularly and up to 125 lbs. occasionally.
• Willingness to work long hours, climb stairs and ladders, and tow a water hose.
