HVAC Service Technician Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced and customer-focused HVAC Service Technician to install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair residential and light commercial heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems. • Install, service, maintain, and repair HVAC and refrigeration systems in residential and commercial environments.
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and system performance issues and provide effective solutions.
• Perform preventative maintenance to ensure system reliability and efficiency.
• Maintain adequate inventory of tools, parts, and materials needed to complete service calls.
• Complete service documentation, invoices, daily route sheets, and other required reports accurately and timely.
• Collect customer payments and payment information when applicable.
• Ensure company vehicles, tools, and equipment are maintained, organized, and in good working condition.
• Participate in cross-training opportunities and support additional operational needs as required.

• Clearly explain repair recommendations, maintenance needs, and service options to customers.

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

• Minimum of 5 years of residential HVAC service and refrigeration experience.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, refrigeration equipment, and troubleshooting methodologies.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Must be insurable and able to meet company driving requirements.

• Experience using mobile field service applications, tablets, or estimating software.
• Additional HVAC certifications are a plus.
