Overview
The Billing Analyst I is primarily responsible for aspects of the weekly billing process. This includes processing data, creating invoices, and auditing work, communicating with clients, understanding and using the automated billing process on a regular basis, and maintaining electronic files while acting in accordance with company values, vision and mission.
Responsibilities- Organize and sort data for invoice creation; run weekly reports.
- Perform bookkeeping; create invoices and enter invoices into the billing system in a timely and accurate manner.
- Enter data into client-based systems.
- Identifies and resolve discrepancies and billing issues for clients; understand when to seek guidance from supervisor on more complex issues.
- Communicate to clients any changes made to invoices. Research and resolve billing questions, complaints and grievances.
- Communicate to payroll team any changes made that affect hours worked.
- Familiarize self with billing policies and consistently apply them.
- Process the hours reconciliation report and resolve any discrepancies.
- Perform special projects as needed or assigned by Supervisor or Senior Management.
- Attend and participate in various department meetings as necessary.
- In addition to the functions listed above, the employee is expected to exercise honesty, integrity and respect with all clients and co-workers, maintain a professional appearance and demeanor, demonstrate a positive attitude, communicate effectively with co-workers and clients, work with accuracy, efficiency and close attention to detail, maintain good attendance by working when and where directed, respect the work environment and keep it as neat and clean as possible, and exercise initiative to learn new skills and tasks and to help co-workers when possible.
The employee is also expected to perform other duties and functions as required.

- An associate degree or bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or another related field
