Summary:

• The hourly paraprofessional pay rate to work on assignment in Lower Dauphin School District ranges between $20.16 - $22.16 per hour.
• 10 days paid time off (PTO) pro-rated based upon start date.
• The paraprofessional will work on student days following the academic calendar year.
• Paraprofessionals will support students in one of the following areas:
  Autistic, Emotional, Instructional, Life Skills, Learning Support and Vocational.

Current need:

• We are currently accepting applications for anticipated openings in the upcoming 26/27 school year.

Primary responsibilities:

• Provide assistance to students with special needs who have IEPs or 504 plans.
• Reinforcing learning concepts and skills.
• Working with students individually or in small groups.
• Work with students on organizational skills, guide students in activities, monitor student progress.
• Managing students behavior and ensuring a safe learning environment.
• Supervising students during lunch, arrivals/dismissals, and other non-instructional areas.
• Directly support students at the direction of classroom teacher and building principal.
